About
The Knights of Rizal – Astoria Chapter is a non-sectarian, non-partisan, civic, patriotic, and cultural organization chartered in December 2022 at the Philippine Consulate General in New York under Republic Act 646 of the Philippines. We are united by one purpose: to honor, preserve, and live the values, teachings, and legacy of Dr. José Rizal, the Philippine national hero.
We believe that nation-building does not begin in government halls—it begins within the individual. When a person chooses integrity over convenience, service over recognition, and courage over silence, real progress begins. From the individual, we uplift the family. From the family, we strengthen the community. From the community, we build the nation.
Inspired by Rizal’s life and sacrifice, we commit ourselves not only to remembering history, but to continuing his unfinished work—through education, civic engagement, cultural preservation, and humanitarian service.
We envision a society where freedom is not just a word, but a reality:
Freedom from hunger, so every family may live with dignity
Freedom from injustice, so every person is treated fairly
Freedom from violence, so every community is safe
Freedom from ignorance, so knowledge lights the path forward
Freedom from fear, so people may live with courage
Freedom to dream, to aspire, and to build a better tomorrow
To be a Knight of Rizal is not merely a title—it is a responsibility.
A responsibility to serve.
A responsibility to lead with honor.
A responsibility to uplift others.
A responsibility to continue the work of Rizal in our time.
We do not exist for recognition. We exist for purpose.
We do not gather for prestige. We gather for service.
We do not remember Rizal only in ceremony. We live Rizal in action.
Honor the past. Serve the present. Build the future.
This is the mission of the Knights of Rizal – Astoria Chapter.
